About Grupo Gino

Grupo Gino is the only footwear manufacturer with production in Chile. It has been making shoes for Chileans for more than 40 years, with more than 40 stores across the country and around 1.6 million pairs a year.

Its digital channel consists of eight brand online stores, each with its own audience and style:

The challenge

Eight brands mean eight catalogs, eight tones of voice and the same questions on every site: what size should I get, is it in stock, where is my order, how do I make an exchange.

  • Large, ever-changing catalog: thousands of products refreshed every season.
  • Heavy after-sales demand: constant questions about shipping, exchanges and returns.
  • Sales peaks: events like Cyber Day and Black Friday multiply traffic.
  • Round-the-clock service: customers shop at any hour and expect an immediate answer.

The solution

Databot deployed an AI sales and after-sales assistant for each brand, all managed from a single platform.

  • Recommender connected to the online store: it reads stock, prices and descriptions in real time. It only suggests available products and groups each model's colors and sizes.
  • Order tracking: the customer asks about their purchase and the assistant instantly replies with the shipping status.
  • One voice per brand: each assistant has its own tone and style, warm and familiar at PZ, adventurous at Panama Jack.
  • Start menu: shortcuts to search for products, track an order or find physical stores.
  • Always up-to-date information: the assistant syncs with the policies published on each site and with current campaigns.
  • Continuous improvement: the platform detects the questions the assistant can't answer yet so they can be covered.
  • Web and WhatsApp: the same assistant serves customers on the website and on WhatsApp, without the conversation losing context.

Implementation

The first seven brands went live in one month, right in the middle of the year-end season. The eighth joined later in less than two weeks.

Results

  • 97% of inquiries answered by the assistant.
  • 4.4 / 5 satisfaction average user rating.
  • Purchase intent first: almost half of the interactions from the start menu are product searches.
  • 24/7 service across eight brands, managed from a single platform.
